Starting therapy can be an intimidating process. Please submit the contact form if you have specific questions or if you would like to schedule a free 15 minute consultation.
Our first session is a gentle introduction. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what you hope to experience differently in your life. I will generally guide you through a series of intake questions as we begin to develop the therapeutic relationship.
Brainspotting is a powerful, body-based therapy that helps access and process the emotional material stored deep in the brain and nervous system. It is especially effective for trauma, anxiety, and long-standing patterns that talk therapy alone struggles to reach. Together, we identify “brainspots”, or eye positions which are connected to the emotional and physical activation around the presenting issue to allow your system to release and integrate at its own natural pace.
The simple answer is "both"! While my preference is to hold in person sessions, I realize that this is not always possible. Especially for my clients in other states. Let's talk about what works best for you!
Our sessions are between 50-55 minutes. The majority of clients will meet weekly as we build momentum and address more intensive needs. We can then discuss decreasing frequency as therapeutically appropriate.
My current private pay rate is $180.
At this time, yes. I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Aetna plans.
If a cancellation occurs within the 24 hour window, a late cancellation fee of $130 will be assessed.
